Our experienced team at MAS Medical is led by founder and directing physician, Mark A. Samia, M.D., M.P.H. We employ medical professionals who are focused and skilled in the practice of occupational medicine, travel medicine, and visa medical exams.

About Dr. Samia

As a Raleigh native and graduate of four universities in North Carolina, and with more than 30 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Mark A. Samia, MD is the founder and medical director of MAS Medical Centers. He and his accomplished team provide expert medical advice and world-class service to businesses throughout North Carolina, as well as specialized services to those traveling outside the United States and others immigrating to America from around the globe.

Dr. Samia’s extensive training and credentials speak to his qualifications as a physician, and his personable and caring manner make him a favorite of his patients and business clients.

Our Staff

Jamie (RT)

An original member of the MAS Medical team, since 1999 – Chiefly responsible for directing operations of the front office, in addition to utilizing her professional training as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) to provide imaging services to our patients. She enjoys the diversity of our patient population and is a welcome site for our patients with her smile and readiness to help. Jamie is a Raleigh native, married with two wonderful children, with whom she enjoys family time together, traveling, being an active member of her church & community.

Cathy (RN) – Practice Manager

She is a highly experienced Registered Nurse (RN), trained in Maryland and enjoyed a wide variety of nursing experiences before joining our team in 2000. Her diverse experience includes hospital-based, critical care, cardiac, neurosurgical, neurotrauma, and occupational medicine. Cathy says of all her experiences, she most enjoys being part of the MAS Medical team and working the patients they serve. She is a positive spirit that is always willing to offer a helping hand. Cathy is married, mother of two great children, and “GiGi” to two energetic grandsons, with whom she enjoys both play and quiet time. Cathy looks for balance and goodness in each day – finding peace in a sunrise and enjoyment in travel.

Sarah (RT)

One of the original team members, since 2004. Sarah is professionally trained as a Register Radiologic Technologist – most days you can find her orchestrating the front office, ready to help with any task, evident by her “How can I help?” approach. She is an invaluable resource to both patients and team members. Sarah looks forward to spending time with her husband and two children, as well as traveling, camping, and cooking.

Sue (RT)

Sue is a long-time member of the MAS Medical team, originally trained as a Radiologic Technologist years ago. She brings experience and a service-oriented approach to our team. Sue enjoys working and contributing as part of a team, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. You will surely be greeted with a smile and a kind-hearted salutation every time you meet her. She enjoys people, traveling, billiards, and aviation.

Sandra (MA)

She joins our team after moving to North Carolina via Columbia, South America. Sandra brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to our team having been in the medical field for many years, in addition to her friendly personality and commitment to providing the best medical care possible to our patients and community, with a special passion for our Spanish-speaking population. Sandra enjoys working and providing for others – as well as special time with her husband and their two children.

Jenn (PA)

Jenn completed her undergraduate work in Biological Sciences before obtaining her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She brings a welcoming heart and over 12 years of experience to our team. Jenn is skilled in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine and Internal Medicine. When not providing exceptional care to our patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Korina

Korina brings to our team decades of experience in both the medical and military fields. Her kind nature and work ethic help us serve our patients in an efficient and pleasant manner.

Jenny

A welcome addition to our back office team. She brings extensive experience from years of work in the hospitality and education industries.

Laura

A much welcomed addition to our nursing staff, having relocated from her home country of Cuba. She brings a kind and welcoming personality, along with Spanish fluency and medical professional experience to our team.
